Days of Oris 15: Introducing the speakers - Letilović & Pedišić

We are introducing the speakers of Days of Oris 15 which will be held on 17th and 18th October at Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall.

Iva Letilović and Igor Pedišić, prominent Croatian architects, winners of the 2011 Cemex Award for the project 5 small houses on the island of Silba.

Born in 1972 in Zagreb. Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb in 1997. From 1997 she has worked as an associate on projects at the Institute for Architectural Design at the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb. In 2003 she started an architectural firm with Morana Vlahović, where she worked until 2007. From 2002 to 2007 she worked as a part-time assistant lecturer and lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb. Since 2007 she has worked as a part-time lecturer at the Department for Architectural design at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy and in 2011 she was named assistant professor. Awards: the Piranesi Award from Piran Days of Architecture in 2003, Vladimir Nazor Award in 2003, Drago Galić Award for the best residential architecture in 2003: special Piranesi Award from Piran Days of Architecture in 2004, award at the competition Das Erste Haus, Silver Plate at the European Architecture Award Luigi Cosenza in 2004, won the third prize at the 41st Zagreb Salon of architecture, Bernado Bernardi Award for the best realization in design and interior design in 2011 and the Cemex Building Award in 2011.

Born in Zadar in 1953. Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb in 1978 and took a postgraduate course at the same faculty. From 1980 to 1992 he worked in the architectural office Donat in Zadar. In 1992 he started his own firm. ¶ From 1984 to 1986 he taught Design and Visual Communications at the Department of the History of Art at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zadar. He organized several architectural exhibitions: Piran Days of Architecture in 1989, 1995 and 2011, De architectura habitationis Zadar in 2004, Ljubljana, Sarajevo, Munich in 2005, New Sacral Art in Zagreb in 2006, and exhibitions at the 41st and 47th Zagreb Salon of Architecture. ¶ He won the Viktor Kovačić Award in 1988 for the pool in Biograd and the Cemex Building Award in 2010 for the Central hospital kitchen in Zadar. ¶ He received the Bernado Bernardi Award in 2011 for the temporary exhibition rooms at the Rector’s Palace in Zadar and the Cemex Building Award for Five houses on Silba.
