It is our eneavour to support young artists from Central and Southern Europe and to facilitate their participation in international artistic events. Therefore, in those countries where the company bauMax is present, we have established an art competition that will be held every two years.
Prof. Essl

The Essl Award is a joint donation by the Essl Collection and the company bauMax, an important company owned by the family. The main aim of the Essl Award is as a support to young artists and to artists at the beginning of their creative careers as well as their presentation to the international audience. Therefore, the Essl Award is addressed directly to students of art academies. The participating countries are Croatia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia and Hungary.
