Many people have vivid memories of Frane Gotovac. He was an architect who left a significant mark in the image of Split, but the personal memories of people who knew him are even more linked to his polemic nature, anecdotes, and community involvement. In this context, it has to be mentioned that a large part of his heritage comprises of texts, mostly columns that he wrote for Slobodna Dalmacija, and many of these were also published in the book The Challenge of Space by the Split Association of Architects.
