The Vantaa St Lawrence Chapel near Helsinki is the result of a carefully studied open architectural competition. This time it is obvious that the jury has done a very good job of it: from a large number of entries – around 200 – it chose the simple and beautiful proposal by Avanto Architects.

Today it is more than obvious that especially the younger generation of architects play a lot at wanting to show off with special forms and shapes – and if not that, at least with colours.
