On December 7, last year, it was the eightieth anniversary of the festive opening of the building La Cité de Refuge in Paris, the last, the largest, and the most important of the three Le Corbusier’s architectural interventions for the Christian humanitarian initiative Armée du Salut. The anniversary itself bears no significance; it is only one in the series of decades passing by the cult building in a side street at the margin of the wider center of the city of light. Still, five years ago, the institution held a modest celebration in Advent.
