Fernando Pardo Calvo and Bernardo García Tapia graduated from the Polytechnic University of Madrid obtaining a degree in architecture in 1984. In 1998 they set up a joint practice, which – in their own words – has relied solely on the opportunity to develop an expression and to explore which the architectural competitions provided. Their career pathway is characterised by important public commissions for healthcare architecture, cultural facilities and administrative buildings. An overview of their project list reflects their commitment to a technically rigorous approach, which simultaneously aims at bestowing a project with a conceptual dimension through aspects related to intuition, evocation and interpretation.
