The terms invention and innovation are often interchanged, but there is a big difference between them. The assumption in both cases is a creative idea, but innovation is a broader term, covering all subsequent efforts to affirm the creative idea in the world.

Innovation is also the real theme of the building designed by architects Dieter Henke and Marta Schreieck for the chemical company Borealis in Linz. There, some 350 employees develop new products and production processes for synthetic materials that are used in the car industry, for example, or the packaging sector.
