The Right to Be Lazy

written by Ana Dana Beroš

Corinne Maier, psychoanalyst and economist, the author of the book Hello Laziness: Why Hard Work Doesn’t Pay became antihero of the French bureaucracy over night. Her book, some sort of the collection of anti-advices which suggest workers to do exactly nothing at work made a huge commercial success immediately after publishing in 2004. Humorous and light reading has in fact subversive effect because it encourages employees all around the country to adopt strategy of ‘active non-engagement’ at work.
