The Splendour of Memory

architect Boris Podrecca

A great connoisseur of the Dalmatian art of building as well as its anonymous architecture, and also a particularly fan of the villas of Dubrovnik, Boris Podrecca did not step into an unfamiliar cultural landscape when he began renovating and expanding a hotel on the outskirts of Dubrovnik. Of course, this architect also knows the modernist tradition, especially the works of Nikola Dobrović: the Hotel Grand on Lopud with agave plantations on the roof, or the villas of Dubrovnik and Lopud with a calculated and precise use of water surfaces.
