Although the official opening of the Slovenian Museum of Mountaineering was officially announced for early August 2010, the building was completed in early summer this year. Even before the opening, the interest in this new museum was high. Construction site workers were replaced by curious visitors and mountaineers, passing by on their way to the Vrata valley that ends under Mount Triglav, the highest peak in Slovenia.
