Austrian architects, brothers Bernhard and Stefan Marte, that is, their office Marte.Marte Architekten, have developed a recognizable, individually expressed writing by means of authentic architectural design. The main formative element of their art of building is, besides wood, glass and pressed clay, concrete. Marte.Marte, who have only recently been given the International Architecture Award by Chicago’s Atheneum Museum for the Schanerloch Bridge in Ebnit near Dronbirn completed in 2005, dynamize spaces, opening them architecturally from the inside to the outside.
