To live means to move from one space into another, doing your best not to bump into something.
Georges Perec, Species of Spaces and Other Places

We appropriate the space in which we dwell without question. It is our per se. We rule the floors, walls, ceilings and all other forms of our space.

We treat it as we treat our nearest and dearest: our sisters, brothers and parents. We are genetically linked to the appliances, chests, chairs and piles of irrelevant objects. As we grow old, we see ourselves as great collectors of irrelevant things, and, like hamsters, we possessively keep our icons as evidence of conquered time in space.
