All knowledge is in the landscape. Not only the landscape, but each thing has its own spirit and this spirit wants peace.
Max Harrison, aboriginal chieftain

The thought guiding the Australian architect Glenn Murcutt in each of his new projects, which has its origins in the characteristic of the indigenous culture of Australian aborigines that it is possible to work together with the landscape and not against it, is how to inhabit the landscape and cause as little damage as possible, while at the same time providing an opportunity to connect with nature. By accepting the invitation to meet the New House in one of Australia’s loveliest valleys, I found out how a landscape can become a house not only inhabited by people, but Lived in.
