There are many modern urban interventions that are highly deurbanizing, as they fail to understand the meaning of space, of spatial relationships and of hierarchy. The responsibility lies not only with the town planners, but also with the quick-fix approach in resolving urban issues. How else to explain the garage in a prime locality in Glazija, a town quarter of Celje, Slovenia, built on an access road to the town, just across from the town hall?

According to the town plan, the plot adjacent to the garage building was to accommodate a new business and residential building, and a competition inviting anonymous architectural proposals was launched in 1999.
