Although in Hušnjakovo there are almost no traces of the half-cave, the habitat where Krapina Neanderthal man lived, it is nonetheless a hallowed place in the development of the human race and a magnet for many visitors.

We wanted to keep the aura of the locality itself and did not want to build a new museum within sight of it. Nearby we found a valley with a small stream probably used by Krapina Neanderthal man to quench his thirst. The vicinity, without any visual contact, seemed to be satisfactory and contained the required elements for the mysterious and intriguing museological play.
