Good Design Grows Global

Winning is important in all competitions, but it is no less important to make one’s mark. Those that do so are often the next winners. Particularly in design, recognition and prominence often fuel success. Over a period of ten years, the Fennia Prize competition has presented over 60 Finnish companies in recognition of their achievements in design. Some of them have even received the prize or an honourable mention twice.

In fourteen years, the originally domestic Pro Finnish Design competition has developed into a high standard contest of design expertise. The companies that have been successful in it are internationally known trade-marks and brands, and many of them are market leaders. As the standard of the competition has risen and as Finnish companies have become increasingly internationalized, the competition has officially become the international Fennia Prize contest, beginning from the year 2003.
