It could be argued whether the process of reflecting architecture can be fully evaluated only when realised, or whether it can be evaluated regardless of its final result. An unequivocal answer is probably not possible. Deliberating a certain architectural problem and its graphic definition might carry more weight than the construction of the building itself. The dichotomy between the freedom of the anticipated and its limitations in the built form is often present. The architect’s monologue offers the possibility of uprises worth noting and remembering even if there is no concrete building to support it. An imaginary stroll through two unrealised projects of architect Heinz Tesar will show that architecture can have many meanings.
