For Hans Gangoly, Austrian architect of the younger generation, building on the fringes, far away from the dazzle of the centres and the busy exchange of images and trends, has become a determinant, perhaps as a result of life circumstances or by chance. Such an activity necessarily goes hand in hand with constant resistance and swimming against the current of a Regionalism which has, self-confidently, at its disposal an arsenal of forms that are allegedly typical to and the only possible ones for the set region.
