Privately owned green areas in Vienna are not very frequent but are still to be found in its outskirts. Where the hills of the Vienna Woods gently descend into the city, there are still areas filled with small gardens (Klein­gar­ten) - the crowning joy of the family dwelling. Here amidst the greenery family houses of different periods exist side by side. Since recently there has been one contemporary building to be seen pointing to new directions. On a steep, corner site querkraft-architekten have designed the innovative DRA house the basic building task thereby taking on completely new aspects.
