The Oris magazine and the Days of Oris are not a regional cultural phenomenon anymore; they have positioned themselves in the history of a turbulent time when it was not likely that the promotion of architecture and discussion about it would attract a large number of followers.

Perhaps the time has come for a brief critical reflection on now fifteen-year long efforts of the editorial board of Oris and the organizers of the Days of Oris in building up a regional platform for deliberation and practice of architecture at the turn of the millennium in this part of the world.
