The topic Nature’s wisdom will be presented during EXPO, to be held in Japan’s Aichi Prefecture from March, 25 to September, 25 2005. The history of EXPO can be followed from the First World Exhibition held in Paxton’s Crystal Palace in London in 1851. It was the first architectural typological and tectonic transmutation where a greenhouse was transformed into an equivalent of a museum and railway technology was used for the construction of buildings. During 150 years world exhibitions have been opportunities for presentations of new architectonic concepts, ideas and experiments, which had been stimulated by the spectacular character of the event itself. Pavilions were always considered to be a reflection of the political and cultural state of the country represented.
