interviewed by Una Bauer

Damir Bartol Indoš is one of the most important Croatian performers and authors of the alternative theater. He has been artistically active since the mid−1970s. He is the author of the idea and practice of the deserved theme, in which the complex and ambivalent correlation between the ethical, aesthetic and political in his work become prominent. Tanja Vrvilo, actress, filmologist and film curator, is the conceptual initiator and artistic director of the Film Mutations: Festival of Invisible Cinema, and a professor at Béla Tarr’s film.factory. Since 2005, Damir Bartol Indoš and Tanja Vrvilo have collaborated on authorial projects/plays, such as Chinese Roulette, The Enchantment, Green, Green, Weight Man, Anti-Oedipus, Cepheus, Kriegspiel – A Game of War. Their work and co-operation are characterized by a specific research fervor, multitude of references, non-linear structure, and extraordinary juxtapositions of heterogeneous material.
