In a private conversation held in Tokyo about a year ago, Arata Isozaki was asked to testify to the existence of some kind of exchange and collaboration between the three most visionary architectural groups of the 1960s: the Metabolist from Japan, Archigram in the uk and the Florentine Radicali in Italy. Isozaki said that there was no real cooperation, but indeed there happened to be private meetings, mostly in Europe, sometimes hosted by Hans Hollein in Vienna, where the protagonists would gather to share and discuss their approach in relation to the architectural scene.
