Images of Gravity

architect Go Hasegawa
written by Salvator-John A. Liotta

Go Hasegawa is a 40-year-old Japanese architect based in Tokyo who worked for Taira Nishizawa, brother of Ryue Nishizawa, before establishing Go Hasegawa & Associates in 2005. He specializes in small-scale residential architecture, and a monograph of his projects was published by a+u in January 2017. After analyzing several of his works, we can make some considerations about his sober spatial narrative and the importance of perception in his production.
