It is only natural that the living forget the deceased in time, but also, the dead often continue to haunt those alive in their minds. There are different apparitions, spirits of the past, and ghosts which, like a trick of light and shadow, disappear when we look at them directly, but they come back again and again as long as the debt that the dead owe us or we owe them is not paid off. It appears that the Croatian floating pavilion, like the Flying Dutchman phantom ship continues to “sail” in its paradoxical state between existence and non-existence in the Croatian cultural public, as well as that other public.
