Domestic Landscapes

Impressed by the purity and honesty of ordinary people in the homes where they have lived for decades, if not longer, Dutch artist and photographer Bert Teunissen has been working on his photography project Domestic Landscapes for the last 16 years. With this project he aims to create an archive of images of European interiors and their inhabitants. Images and memories of common and recognizable interiors that are rapidly disappearing, as contemporary construction and the comforts of today’s way of living take the place of many pieces of furniture and interior decoration that for a very long time have been so familiar to us.
