The Kilden theatre and concert hall is located in the old harbour just next to Kristiansand city centre. It is a production facility where art is created, primarily in the forms of theatre, music, costumes and stage decoration.

Contrasts are an essential part of the building and its functions; performance and production, audience and performers, soft and hard. Three black zigzag walls are made of brushed and anodized aluminium. The fourth wall is a smoothly undulating wall made of local oak. It is the spectacular and inviting sign for the audience.
