The architect Jurij Kobe described a vacation cottage in Ankaran as an etude, i.e. as an exercise in the discipline of well-thought-out architecture in his quote: “Architecture is the art of the necessary in a logical form, when possible. This motto of mine is probably easiest to express on a smaller scale.”
The story starts with the place. We are dealing here with the Mediterranean. The house is a continuation of the building in the region, but in a modern manner and without the historical emotional afflatus.
