Interviewed in Vienna, March 9th 2007
ORIS: You have a long experience of museum design and building such as the Celtic Museum in Hallein near Salzburg and ultimately the Museum for the Essl Collection in Klosterneuburg near Vienna. What is it that you find so important about museum architecture; is it that museums give a home to the concept of sharing, of the relationship between individual and community?
Tesar: As I see it, museums give a home to the concept of collective, or the relationship between individual and community. They are also a place where thoughts can be shared about a particular thing or issue. They are meaningful mental complexes of an immeasurable life.
