Če
bi se odločili sodobni kiparski produkciji poiskati skupni imenovalec,
bi se nedvomno hitro znašli na spolzkih tleh, izgubljeni v oceanu
praks, slogov, medijev in genealogij. Poleg tega se zdi, da so
tako umetnostne razstave, ki spremljajo razvoj vizualne scene,
kakor strokovnjaki s področja vizualne kulture obupali nad iskanjem
odgovora, kaj je kiparstvo danes in do kod segajo njegove družbene
oziroma fizične meje.

If
we tried to seek a common denominator for contemporary sculptural
production, we would undoubtedly find ourselves in a dilemma,
lost in an ocean of practices, styles, media and genealogies.
Besides, it seems that artistic reviews following the development
of the visual scene and experts in the field of visual culture
have given up searching for the answer to the question of what
sculpture is today and what its social and physical limits are.
