Ishodište,
polazna točka uzbudljivog procesa projektiranja može biti opsesivna
forma, program, funkcionalna analiza, a vrlo često i samo mjesto.
Može se pritom raditi o kontekstualnosti u najširem smislu: o
građenom okolišu, topografiji, memoriji mjesta. Lokacija Državnog
arhiva u Sisku baš nikako ne izgleda kao da bi mogla djelovati
poticajno. Arhitekti Nenad Kondža i Irena Vitasović ipak su u
tom skromnom, pa djelomice i devastiranom okolišu, našli motive
kontekstualnosti svog projekta. Nepogodu pretvoriti u prednost
osobina je angažiranih, relevantnih arhitekata.

The
starting point, the origin of the exciting process of designing
can be an obsessive form, a programme, functional analysis, and
very often the location itself. This can also be about contextuality
in the widest sense: about the built environment, topography,
the memory of the place. The location of the State Archives in
Sisak does not seem inspiring at all. The architects Nenad Kondža
and Irena Vitasović nevertheless found the motives for the contextuality
of their project in these modest, even partly devastated surroundings.
To turn disadvantage into advantage is a characteristic of engaged,
relevant architects.
