Le Havre, lučki grad
Na ušću Seine čudna morska obala s petrokemijskim tvornicama kvari fini krajolik normandijske obale. Na tom mjestu gdje počinju vapnene hridi regije Caux smjestio se Le Havre, luka i trinaesti po veličini francuski grad sa 190.000 stanovnika. Po lučkim aktivnostima grad se nalazi na drugom mjestu u državi. Zbog strateških lučkih postrojenja bio je teško razoren za vrijeme Drugog svjetskog rata. Središte grada je zatim potpuno obnovljeno 50-ih godina.

Le Havre, a Port City
At the estuary of the Seine, a strange sea coast with petrochemical facilities spoils the fine scenery of the coast of Normandy. This is where Le Havre is situated, next to the beginning of limestone rocks in the Caux region, a port and the thirteenth largest French city, with 190,000 inhabitants. The city takes second place in the country according to its port activities. Because of its strategic port facilities, it was heavily damaged during World War II. The city centre was then fully reconstructed in the 1950s.
