As we walk through the premises of the new building of the Croatian Bishops’ Conference (CBC), having examined its ground plan and cross section, yet again we realize what complex mechanisms buildings are and how systematically they have to be designed to meet different requirements and aspects crucial for their proper functioning. While we have to agree that Le Corbusier’s famous statement that the modern house is a machine for living in is a questionable statement, we also have to admit there is truth in it.
