More than a year ago, I came up – together with three of my fellow architects1 – with an editorial to feature in a special issue of an international architecture magazine. Our proposal wanted to explore new possibilities for evolution of architecture, exploring the complex relation between tradition and innovation, and exploring if the resource to tradition is operative today. How can innovation come from tradition? Is tradition a sound foundation for the evolution of architecture?
