In interpreting a piece of architectural work I always attempt to unravel the dialogue or struggle between the anatomy of the space and material chemistry. The work by architects Ergić-Murtić steadily (hieratically) continues a mission previously initiated, entitled “the transformation of space” as ongoing response to today’s supplement to the idea of a lifestyle.

Adaptation to needs is perhaps the closest answer to opening and closing “functional boxes” with the help of sliding partitions. The composition of materials, wood and raw concrete into a cube of “white modernism” on Zagreb’s Šalata is one more celebration of space and light from the entrance to the pool platform on the roof of the house.
