A settlement of weekend houses on the River Jasna in Kranjska Gora is a typical attribute of a well-to-do Slovene society. It stems from the early liberalism around the year 1970 within the socialist regime, when “uravnilovka ” was suffocating individualism and when property-flaunting was cloaked by the excuse of healthy living and bonds with nature. Hence the modesty and imitation of the rural style of the first small cottages. As a rule, they were placed discreetly in the environment. Now, things are quite different. The nouveaux riches are buying sheds and turning them into pompous provincial reflections of themselves.

Defying the trend, our house has remained loyal to the Modernist ideals. It expresses the client’s modern lifestyle and avoids the rural stereotype. Its placement in the environment is carefully thought out and provocative.
