Equally as well as light, colour is in architecture an the element that indicates the level of maturity a project has reached. Colour used merely for decoration renders a building banal, whereas a reflective application of a colour composition lends force to architectural discourse, just like in art.

The red houses designed by Janez Koželj are the product of a mature architect whose long experience is reflected in masterful design. He has already found his form and architectural expression. He follows up his ideas and projects with the understanding of delicate relationships between the environment and the building. He is particularly interested in the potential of wooden structures.
