The Ascó residence in the province of Tarragona could be considered just one of the many localities in central Catalonia. The coast being relatively close, yet far enough not to feel its impact on the border with the nearby Aragon, the Ascó identity was founded on the heritage of linear, transversal order: the flow of the Ebro River.

Such features, leaving no other natural possibilities, but agriculture without irrigation or sweet-water fishing were forever altered by the construction of the nuclear power plant in 1984. The place went from complete obscurity to the spotlight in all the media, as the power plant has not been warmly welcomed.
