Atmosphere and Intuition

written by Vera Grimmer

In his observations on the possibilities of writing about architecture (Oris 72), Friedrich Achleitner talks about the three media of presenting architecture: drawing, building as such, and commentary which would include all verbal forms that indicate the cultural presence of architecture, concluding that: Architecture can survive merely in the conjunction of all three components. In other words, architecture is not only that what is built and it lasts least of all in its physical existence, but also in a quick change of perceptions.
