Imagine Philippe Petit’s excitement as he was tightening the steel rope between the towers of Notre Dame in Paris some four decades ago, and then carefully but decisively walked out onto the wire using an eight-metre-long pole.

The feelings of the architects studying the land plot available for a very common order for a family house in the suburbs of Škofja Loka must have been similar. It would have been a shame to level off the somewhat slanted terrain and create an ideal plane for one of the many typical houses with a two-purlin roof on the edge of the settlement.
